Marcus, John, Warwick, Clive and Harry, of Brisbane, Robert, of Cairns, and Horace, of Eidsvold. They were predeceased by one son and aĭaughter. In 1935 he retired from the service at Toowoomba. He was appointed to the Queensland magistracy in 1912, and was on the bench at Innisfail, Hughenden, Charleville, Mackay and Toowoomba. Gallagher served for more than 50 years with the Justice Department as a Clerk of Petty Sessions and Police Magistrate. Gallagher was well-known throughout Queensland, and high tributes have been paid to him by senior members of the Queensland Police Force and the Queensland Bar. Margaret Gallagher pre-deceased her husband by about six weeks. Registrar of the Brisbane Magistrates Court, in Billyana Street, Balmoral. Gallagher died on Tuesday at the home of one of his sons, Mr. Marcus Gallagher, former police magistrate, and his wife have died in Brisbane within six weeks of each other.
